I feel like I have used work pretty much as long as I can remember. I started using Word I believe in high school, it could have been in middle school. At my school we mainly used google docs for our assignments so that's why I'm not so sure when exactly did I start using word. I think I like both about the same, Word can be very annoying at times to use, but that is what I prefer to use. I am not sure why I prefer to use it, it's just easier access I believe.

I have selected the ISTE Standard for students to be most meaningful to me. To me this standard is basically saying how technology can be used as a tool and a healthy thing used to help the kids, and not seen as this evil thing that will stunt their learning experiences or growth. It is evident that the world as we know it is changing, we are relying more and more on technology everyday. K-12 educators has to know this and work with this, their students will have to rely on this more each year, and a prepared student is a good student. Knowing how to navigate through technology is a must for most students now.

I agree with the term "digital native". Being a digital native can be implicated into many different meanings but all in all it mean being fluent in technology. Not necessarily meaning tech savvy. I have noticed differences between me and my "digital immigrants" teachers plenty of times. More often than not, I have noticed a student will have to help the teacher figure out how to use something on the computer, or when there is a problem the teachers calls on a student to help them with the computer. I don't think it has had much of an "impact" on my learning experience, I was able to retain the information needed even if my teacher needed a little help. Although, the teacher not being more fluent with technology could have led to missed out opportunities that would help students learn in more entertaining ways.  Now, once I become a future educator I believe there will be less confusion on technology which will allow me to teach my kids in different more affluent ways to reach them.
